Ok after all the modern marvels, all the pc processing, the coolest plugins and blah blah blah, do you think your satisfied with your software of choice. Like Upgrading from version 3.0 to version say ummm 10 do you feel it really necessary, unless theirs visual changes, or better plugin support, you know the rest of the mumbo jumbo. Because im sitting here in front of this gear and realising what else is their on my daw software thats gonna be super spectacular to make me spend another 2-10 grand again.

I guess im just bored and have too much time on my hands.

I will say this - software has been the least of my concern until fairly recently. Cubase SX3 was worth the upgrade for the "hardware" plugin feature, and I am becoming a huge fan of the UAD plugin's - they are worth EVERY PENNY.

Yeah ditto on the UAD stuff. Even the presets sound great
