Hey guys (and gals),

I found this when going through some old CDs from a few years ago.

The recording was kind of a scratch one that I made quickly the night I wrote the song, but there's a certain charm to it I think.

Anyway, the main thing I'm wondering about is the length. It's very short right now. Do you think it stands well as it is, or should it be developed into a full-length song with a bridge and more verses maybe?

All other criticisms are welcome.

Thanks much!

Here's the link. It's called "Nobody Showers"

I like the basics, so to me, it wouldn't matter if you kept it this way, or changed it up a bit. It's short enough, that you could easily double the tune, and it would still be fairly short. I think if you keeo the same basic feel to it, more might even be better, as it ends, and I still wanted more, so listened again. :D
Just my thoughts.

Enjoyed the song very much. IMO it would benefit from a bridge and/or instrumental solo, maybe bringing it up to around 3 mins length. There are a lot of thematic bits that could be developed in an instrumental section.

I'd skip most of the vocal verb but keep the verb on the right side guitar lines.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Tim: That's a good idea. I hadn't considered an instrumental section. Maybe I'll give that a shot.

Dogman: I'm glad it left you wanting more instead of glad it was over!

Darnold: Do you work for Nike?

Very nice tune and recording. I like your style... Beck meets STP.

This is a cool tune. The vox and lyrics are really nice. Like the reverb.

the bongo/congo is a bit to forward or something. Just my opinion.

A very raw sound to it. I likey. :D

Fishmed: Thanks! Those are two artists I've never been compared to before, so that's a good thing!

true-eurt: I know what you mean about the bongos. The pattern is a little too obvious or something. I'll probably change that if I re-record this one. Thanks for the listen!
