Frequency Splitting in an older version

I am using an older version of cool edit pro (Version 1.2)...I got it free from a radio station so that's the reason why. Anyway, I want to do some frequency splitting but I can't seem to find that function anywhere. I searched in the help index and found nothing on the topic as well. Is this a tool that is only available in the newer versions of the program?

Yup. Get the radio station to give you a free copy of 2.0.
