I know that an octave above or below a given note is double or half the frequency of that note, but does anyone have a link to a handy chart that gives the frequencies of all the notes, say, from the fourth string on an electric bass up to the top string of a guitar? A chromatic scale is what I'm looking for, going from about 42 Hz up to about 700 - 800 Hz.

Really handy for dialling in particular frequencies to deal with.

That's bizarre !

Dobro - I was just looking at a chart similar to what you mention - It's in my Porta 05 manual (which I just found after 5 years in storage). Wow.
Anyway - I will have to find a scanner to get you an electronic copy.
Basically, it gives the note frequencies on a piano keyboard, and where different instruments fit into the freq range - It's quite interesting.
Will let you know (either that or I'll transcribe it).

Mike - thanks for the link, although my brower won't read it. :D

Gidge - your link worked well. Love ya - thanks.

Sometimes this site shines, it really does.

Dobro - My browser crapped out on it too - I ended up right clicking and saving link as....
Then opening up offline.
Cheers,
Mike
