My first hunch involves the Save operation - when you Save. . IF you Save - somewhere in there, you're tweeking and not saving. . . or tweeking AND saving. Somewhere in these operations lies our confusion.

I tend to save frequently, especially if I have completed an action with which I am satisfied. I will keep on going and let your know how it is working out.

Quick update. It seems that freezing is working fine now !!!! I am continuing with my project to see how it develops. However, another strange problem has arisen: I grouped my folders to the left (I have 9 folders). I "joined" 7 of them into a group so that I could adjust the volume in unison on these 7 folders. Now, however, I cannot "ungroup" them. I have set the arrangement as shown, but the group still exists, even though I do not want it.

We seem to have two threads on this topic?? My project is now freezing properly so I will continue with the project to see where it leads me. I have now got a different issue: I grouped my folders (9 folders) to the left and put 7 of them into a group so that I could move the volume of these 7 folders in unison. However, I am now unable to "ungroup" them. When I set the window as shown, they will not ungroup. What am I doing wrong - this seems so simple. I am feeling old and stupid.

I use another method. Holding the Shift Key down, left-click the Tracks (screen left) to be linked (Grouped). This enables all selected Tracks to respond in unison to whatever parameter is adjusted on any one Track. To ungroup (unhighlight) all of them, left-click an empty space on the screen. To ungroup only certain Tracks, hold the CTRL Key down and left-click the ones you want to remove from the grouping.
