I have a Emagic Unitor-8 and an MT-4.
The MT-4 for those that don't know is a 2 in and 4 out box.
The Unitor-8 is a 8 in and 8 out box.
The MT-4 controls a:
Roland JW-50 (Mstr Ctrlr) In: 1 -> OUT NOT BEING USED
EMU Planet Phatt Out/In: 2
Nemesys Gigastudio Out 3: (dedicated computer)
Out 4: Not used
The Unitor-8 controls a:
Roland JV-1080 Oun/In: 1
Roland JV-90 Oun/In: 8
Roland JD-990 Oun/In: 3
Korg Triton rack Oun/In: 2
Yamaha TG-500 Oun/In: 5
Yamaha TG-77 Oun/In: 4
Yamaha S-80 Oun/In: 7
Alesis QSR Oun/In: 6
I ran out of inputs. I've never used any of the "thru's" ever. I belive I can do this to consolidate and free up inputs. Tell if my wiring is correct:
Out #1 of the Unitor 8 to the input of the JV-1080.
The THRU of the JV-1080 to the IN of the JD-990.
The THRU of the JD-990 to the IN of the JV-90.
And the OUT of the JD-990 back to the INPUT #1
Change the system ID's on each of them to say 15, 16, and 17.
Is my wiring correct? I can have all the them on one input and output? By changing the system ID's is the secret to making the program changes to each individual modlue without sending info to all 3? My setup is great right now. I could buy another Unitor-8, but why if I can do it this way?
If I'm wrong in my setup (theory), please feel free to correct me and tell me the correct way....or just let me know if the way I said to set it up is correct. Let me know one way or another.
I'd like to add a actual synth like a JP-8080, and a Virus C, then call my MIDI setup DONE once and for all.
