Blick-um, blick-um...
Hey crew, I just uploaded two newly recorded tracks for your listening pleasure:

IntSit Jam at The Ranch (long jam -- gets cooking a few minutes into it)
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=68265&songID=4179702

Jess FoduhFunkuvit (short clip)
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=68265&songID=4177087

I'm still testing mic placement and modifying room acoustics here in the basement, but my girl just bought me Ozone 3 and I was dying to test it out.

Some friends came by Friday to jam so I set up some mics and hit record.
Live, in one room: 4 mics on the drums, one mic for each amp, and one room mic (seven total).

The next day I gave it the "quick and dirty" mix treatment. Then sent it through Ozone 3 just to see what this puppy can do.

The jams are always improvised which is a lot of fun, even though we're a bit rusty and all. Check it out and give me some feedback on levels and such if you can. Thanks, Rez

I love the long jam...nice harmonics.

Every instrument has it's space and is defined. I like the lay of the panning too. Great pro sound to my ears.

Great drumming by the way.

Who is the guitar player? Got some cool licks and excellent tone. Has some Pink Floyd flavour and a touch of Robin Trower too. But still different. Excellent playing!!!

Everything is a tight jam!!

Cool way to outro.

The Ozone 3 appears to be a good thing...as Martha would say!!! :D

True :)

Thanks!

Thanks True - means a lot that you take the time to listen and provide valuable feedback!

So far, Ozone 3 is really impressive. It is jam packed with very useful tools and it is very inexpensive compared to a lot of other plug-ins.

I just started playing drums again after a long hiatus. I forgot how much I love it! Nice to hear you enjoy my playing -- wait 'til I get my chops back!

The guitarist for the long jam is my ol' pal Yuri. He constantly amazes me with his abilities both in front and behind the glass. His skills on guitar are incredible, with many many influences (including those you mention), but I think the coolest thing is that he "emulates" rather than "imitate".

He knows I'm a big Floyd fan so he throws some Gilmore style in there. On this tune, I hit him right back with some Rush and Zep flavored fills.

The bass player on this track is also another amazing guitarist with tone for days. They switched instruments on the other tune I posted just 4 the Funk of it. I'm very very fortunate to have friends like these.

I know how much I enjoy jamming, I just didn't know how many other folks still wanted to hear stuff like this. So many people have asked for copies. It's too bad we only jam like this every other month or so.

Thanks again True! Always great to hear from you!

Nice sounds man....The short one has a nice beat....very free sounding. Good tones by everyone there....

At the Ranch has some cool harmonics to start, and good interplay with the drums for that. Again, good tones. Nice sounds throughout, actually. Reminds me of some more modern stuff, but not directly related to anything in particular. All instruments seem to have a good groove going.

Nice playing man....

Been listening to the long jam the last 10 minutes, damn that's sweet!  Enjoyed it much, and the playing rocked. Some real cool runs in there by the guitarist too. Mixwise sounds excellent, especially for a live recording setting. If anything, I'd say the mix is somewhat bass heavy on my system. Maybe a little less kick/bass
Good stuff :D
