How about we put together a list of available GOOD and FREE plugins with short user's comments?
Maybe free software as well.
To begin with, here is my link: http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/freeware/98/
Unfortunately I haven't used any of those, so I can't comment.

A more important question may be - how many of these free effects have actually been tested and shown to work well? I tried the Blue Line plug-ins some time ago, they sounded OK, but my system remained unstable until I removed them.

I have every one that's listed on my site installed and they all work fine. I typically use the Blue's in VST instead of DX.

Every now and then I'll try a free plugin that won't work right, but it usually crashes at load time, and I simply remove it. Haven't had that problem in a long time though.
