fostex vf80ex 600 bucks now?

wow, in januarish i got my fostex vf80ex for 500 bucks with case for 500 and now its going for 600 without the case on muscians friend? how can they all of a sudden jump up the price a hundred?

If I bought this machine where I live ( Australia ) it would cost me the equivalent of $US1,235...... and that's a discounted price!
I recently bought my secondhand VF80 from a US seller on Ebay for $US365; I suppose I took a chance but luckily it works perfectly.
