I used a Fostex R8 for years in my home project studio before moving on to digital.
I want to take some recordings from the R8 and transfer them to digital but I have a problem.
My R8 won't play or FF. It makes a strange mechanical sound when I try to FF and the tape unwinds when I press play.
Can anyone help with these problems.
I am seriously considering going back to using the R* as I think it gave a much richer sound than digital.
