fostex mr-8 mk2 with a Ion Audio USB Electronic Drum Kit

Hi, can I run an Ion Audio USB active drumset through my Fostex via usb port? It's just a cheap little drumset but if it works, then it works. help please!
 
No
The ION relies on the computer to make the sounds via software. There is no processing power to do this in the Fostex.
the Fostex USB ports are to transfer WAV files to and from the PC or a CD burner.
There is no power available on the Fostex USB ports.
 
Okay cool thanks for the info, good thing I asked before buying ^^ .
 
If you had the iON iED01 kit you may be able to control the beat using the MIDI output of the MR8. I think it only puts out a time signal.
