I bought the Fostex FR2 with the Oade Brothers super mod.
I was using the tascam DR-100 prior and hated all of the noise from this unit.
I found the fostex FR2 brand new in the box for 550 and the Oade mod was 350.
The Fostex with the mod is fantastic. Without the mod it is great. But the noise floor is so low I can not believe it.
I am new to audio since I kept having issues with audio people in my price range.
I decided to teach myself how to do it.
I know use it for all of my sound recording.
