((FOSTEX A-8)) Which racks are essential when recording with the FOSTEX A-8 / Tascam m-106 kombo!?

Hey I was wondering what type of racks should I use when recording only on tape with the fostex a-8 to get as good or maybe gritty and warm sound? I’ll record everything on tape and then send it via the PGM 1-4 outs into my Roland Rubix 4 input sound card into my daw! Got any tips on eq racks and how I should set it up?
I have a bunch of tascam on patchbays to use fyi!

How are you going to manage 8 tape tracks when you only have a 6 channel mixer?

I’ll just manage with 6 or I’ll just use the sub in an add another mixer! The latter was my original plan!
