Formatting SD card?

I am starting to learn Q2n-4 K Zoom. To begin with, SD needs to be formatted in the camera. From there I can download the extracted firmware from the computer to the formatted SD card to update the camera. Does this seem correct? Thank you Millie

That is normal for many bits of equipment.

The instructions are included in the zip file with the firmware file. They are very explicit, and seem to be very straightforward.
