I need a mic for both vocal and acoustic guitar (I'm assuming I'll only be using this for recording)
And I've been recommended this
http://www.abesofmaine.com/item.do?item=NADRSM8A&id=NADRSM8A&l=FROOGLE

But then I found this one, which looks really good (considering its price)

Plus all the reviews I saw on that are positive.

I'm totally new to this whole thing, so before doing any purchasing, I want to ask people who know what they're talking about.

I'm assuming for the Condenser Mic, I'll need an ART preamp, but i'm not sure If i'll need anything more for the Ribbon mic.

If you have any other suggestions or comments, please let me know.

Both mics require phantom power supplied by a preamp.

A nice way to go might be with the b1 and a good preamp like the well regarded m-audio dmp3.

*shrugs*

The Studio Projects B series are okay mics, but I'd probably pick the CADs M series over them for most sources. If you want to really brighten something up, go with the B1.

in the same price range, consider the AT2020 as well
