Anti-Pro Circles Insider
Have decided to check quantegy site to see what's going on.
and , well, I had 'pleasure' to re-read Frank's letter... and nothing going on.
The site is not even being updated.
I just don't get it. It all looks to me like the company WAS taken by a dead-brain , or dead brains.
:mad::mad::mad:
What's going on? Any idea?
Did they take off on that rocket?
Or have they poisoned themselves to death by bad sushi or something? :D
what's your version? :D

What is quantegy?

What's going on? Any idea?

That's easy, they stopped making the one thing which set them appart, that they had good (not enormous) but good steady business from and that is....tape! They turned into greedy little bastards, apparently dissatissfied with what they had going for it and someone said, "Hey, here's an idea, lets make real money, make a real killing and sell hard-drives with our Quantegy logo on the box!"!!:rolleyes: They musta found out the hard way how good they had it, when tape was their thing, cause now, they're as good as dead, at least business wise (and it does indeed show). Hard-Drives?? LOL!!:D I'm willing to bet Quantegy will restart producing tape again.. You watch! :eek::D;)

Do they actually manufacture the hard drive itself? Or do they simply buy a drive from a manufacturer and cleverly print their logo on it?

I'm fairly sure that they are simply re-stamping another manufacturer's drives. Outside of Toshiba, Hitachi, Western Digital, Seagate/Maxtor, and one or two others, I can't see how many of these places would be equipped to manufacture their own drives. Then again, I could be wrong.:p;)

I don't think so. My guess would be that "a manufacturer" prints their logo on it for them.
They are only good for one thing: shewing up on sushi.

Anybody near Alabama? Gould you, please, drive by and check if their factory's pipe is smoking or is it dead cold?

It certainly was not the brain we were all hoping for. ;)
