I've been on the hunt for microphones, what I am trying to do is play sounds (samples or synths) through my monitors which will be placed around different types of fabric and materials to experiment with getting different types of sounds. ALSO I would like to sample random sounds like water, glass, metal etc.

And through my research it sounds like what would be a good sidekick for someone like me who wants to get creative, is 2 mics so that I can experiment with stereo image for different spatial effects.

I was told by one person:

"One dynamic and one condenser. one for headroom with little/no distortion on loud stuff, the other to capture subtle delicate stuff. SM57 and an AT4050".

So just before I was about to order the 2 mics I wanted to verify that these are going to be good for what Im doing, and if there is something "better" (Im trying to stay around $700) please let me know!

I appreciate your time very much, so thankful there is a place like this where we can help eachother out
