Sorry, make that $100 for 1/2". Seems a bit steep to me.

Does anyone know what that polyester timing tape is? Just looking for regular splicing tape not sure if the paper tape is all I really need.

I've never used timing tape but I would take an educated guess and figure it has stripe marks on it like a ruler so that you can insert a given amount of silence in between tracks on an assembled master with various tracks/cuts on it.
