If I want to use vst audio effect pluggins (for example, like those that come with steinbergs 'virtual bassist' software), is there a way I can control them via some sort of foot controller?
I'd like it to be like playing live with standard stomp boxes and whatnot. Is there a vst host that would allow this and a footcontroller I can use to do it?
Currently, I use ableton live for recording and running vst pluggins and well pretty much everything I do. I know that almost any function in ableton live can be controlled via external enterfaces such as the knobs and sliders on m-audios various usb keyboard midi controllers. but what I want to know is, can I control the vst effects in a similar way? if not is there another vst host that will let me? and is there a footcontroller I can use for this?
