All, (I'm using a Mac for everything written here, BTW).
I'm wondering if there's a way to get my BCR2000 to pass through signals to MIDI out A when in USB mode (I guess it doesn't matter which mode, 2 or 3).
I want to control two MIDI devices plugged into the BCR so:
I have my primary MIDI keyboard/controller hooked up to the BCR2000 sending info to the BCR2000 through a MIDI cable hooked up to MIDI in. On MIDI OUT B, I have a hardware synth; through that hardware synth's MIDI passthrough, I have a MIDI cable going to a second synth (neither of these synths have USB capabilities). While that works fine, I have to run some long-ish cables and Synth A has to be powered-up to pass through signals to Synth B. I'd rather have the second synth plugged into the MIDI OUT A of the BCR2000 so that I don't have to have Synth 1 powered-up (and some of this cable mess would go away, too).
So, the instructions show that my BCR in USB Mode 2 can send things to MIDI OUT B (the way I'm using it now) and that the computer can send stuff to MIDI OUT A. Is there any way to simply tell my computer to route whatever's coming from the MIDI in of the BCR2000 back to OUT A?
Alternatively, the same MIDI controller/keyboard is ALSO sending MIDI signals to my computer via its own USB cable. I'd be just as happy to route the USB signal from my keyboard to MIDI OUT A on the BCR2000, as well.
Thanks, in advance.
