Buhaha!!

I acquired a Zoom Tri-metal distortionpedal, und to show the sound for friends I haphazardly recorded this. My bass is out on a loan, hence the lack of bassline...
..Well, it's rumbly enough as it is.:D

DeanV/EMG81-->TriMetal-->ENGLTubetoner clean channel-->tracker.

..The gain on the pedal, (on scale 0-10) is set at some 0,5!!!!

...I can almost hear some norwegian dude singing in that!..
"Heja heja håjjåijåi hååde hååde håj!!":D

cool playing dude. i'd turn the drums up some more. and cut some lows off the guitars, but then you don't have a bass to fill in the lows so i guess its OK for now. i like the guitar work though, sounds pretty sweet. the drum patterns are good too.

nice playing man
i can see why my stuff sounds too mellow :D
yeah.. i hear some low end rumble muddiness on the guitar... it sounds like the frequencies are over lapping in the 300hz range.. maybe try to separate the sounds in that range a little more
good playing

Love the playing, don't love the tone. I'm getting too many highs maybe and too much buzz. I'm not a metal connoisseur......so take that into consideration. The clean tones were very nice but that's probably not the pedal. Again, I don't think the pedal does your playing justice.

:):D:):D

Thanks for the input!!:D

Yeah, one thing adding to the rumble and sizzle is prolly the half-assed echo I added to the mix...mistake.

I usually cut the guits out totally from 100Hz to leave room for the bass, but not this time.
I like the song, so I might return to it with a bassline.

But now, I've got a day off work, just to sit down and make maybe an another tune.

Long live folk metal!!! Hail Ensiferum and Moonsorrow!! :)
Your tune sounds nice, but you seem to have the same problem I do, bass frequencies way overcrowded. Use Low Cut filters in everything that has frequencies below 300 Hz. Don't overkill them! if your kick fundamental is 60 Hz, then put the filter at 70 for example, to reduce a little the bass and a lot of low freq rumble, hum and other crap that doesn't belong in your mix.
