Focusrite DI Vs. Alesis DI

Plugged my Micro korg into the D.I input built into the Alesis IO 26 and then into my Octopre. I couldn't believe the difference, the amount of extra high end and clarity in the Octopre almost made me think it had lost its bass but it was just fuller in highs and the lows. Is this really just the case of Alesis having crummy DI inputs, are the mic inputs just as crummy?... I should have got a focusrite interface maybe lol . . well learn from your mistakes! Its usable..

I second the adding of samples if its not too much trouble. I imagine there is a good bit of difference. When I was playing with these group of people we switched from cheap DI's for the bass to a nicer studio one and it seemed to make a noticeable difference (I'd like to think it wasn't just the placebo effect!).
