FM transmitter...anyone tried it?

Are you thinking that this would be a good way to evaluate how your mixes translate through FM radio?

The problem is that the majority of the sonic impact to your mix from FM radio isn't a result of the actual FM transmission, it's from whatever processing the FM station puts the audio through before transmitting, i.e. compression, eq, aural exiters...

...or not...

just a guess on my part.

That is a pretty cool device though.
 
Nope...

I have used FM wireless mic, and headphone... long time ago. Not even close to wired monitor in quality. It's okay for fun, but not for serious test mix. I also have Shure SM58 UT-4 Wireless mic. UHV serves you 1000.000 times better for wireless system compared to FM. Just my personal oppinion :)

Yea, I wouldn't pretend that it could sub out-right for a hard wired rig, but for the minimal $, it might be nice tool to grasp overall strengths and holes in a mix via consumer grade speakers.

...Cool for parties and such too, I reckon
