I'm looking for reviews/experience-based suggestions for passive 12" floor monitors equipped with a pole mount socket so they can double as small FOH. My primary criterion is clear, accurate, quality sound, since they'll mostly be used for rehearsal (lead vocals only) at moderate volumes, and only occasionally brought out for actual stage use. So, ultimate SPLs or roadworthiness are less important. They'll be driven with 300 watts each into 8 ohms.
I've been looking hardest at EV Force-i, Yamaha CM12v/SM12V, Community DnD12, Yorkville Y112 or NX250, and Peavey SP12M or TLM2X. What else should I be considering?
It's proving difficult to audition many of the more likely candidates, so any suggestions based on actual experience with the product(s) will be greatly appreciated!
