As of right now my floor is carpeted and my ceiling is drywall covered with a popcorn texture. How can I treat my cieling without completely covering it with a drop ceiling?
I have followed all the methods for the walls so far with great outcomes...any suggestions?

Depends on your acoustical needs. Too much highs? Too much reflection?

Its not uncommon to attach wall foam 1'x1' sq or 2'x2' sq on a ceiling. Maybe some diffusers. Glue it all right to the sheet rock.

If the treatment needs is very minor, you could get away with some carpet stapled to the ceiling. Use long staples and staple on an angle to the ceiling so it doesn't pull right out of the drywall.

You can also staple foam and plastic diffusers too.

Anyway, this all depends on the acoustical needs of the room.

I love the drop ceiling method.

I only used up about 6 inches of space in the control room and dropped the ceiling. It has been a great advantage to be able to run phone lines, lighting, speaker cables and other signal wiring through.

The studio gets messy quickly enough, so any wires you can hide in the walls or ceiling really help.

It also adds some sound dampening effect, and I filled it with thick insulation so the room stays cooler.
