Here is my son, a grade 3 and grade 2 juvenile piper, playing some music. he played a couple harmony parts for the first time so he'll prolly retrack, but I thought I should stop holding out you guys :D

He wore the open headphones rather than the tracking headphones, so you can hear the metronome in the beginning (but not after that :) )

edit: updated the file behind the link - better mix

Admit it. The pipes stir your blood. You're starting to look askance at your pet sheep, trying not to visualize yourself ripping out its bladder and femurs with your bare hands, sucking out the marrow and draining the urine (or even vice versa), and fashioning your own set of pipes to play another harmony.

Or, if you already killed you're sheep, you may be thinking about doing the same thing to your iPad. ( https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?p=3432538#post3432538 )

Admit it.

they stir my blood...I used to work just up from Fleshmarket close on The Mound (another great name)

nice one

Yo Chef, that was great! Congrats to the offspring, he's damn good and I'm fascinated by traditional scottish and irish sounds. Is there some kind of deep drum in the background? I'd make that thump louder.

Joey :)

That was just him stomping his feet while playing - not a separate track. We were thinking about playing with EQ to make it more distinct. We've got a Scottish snare drum that would be good to use, but I can't play it worth a crap, and he's just learning. We might give it a shot.

The pipe & drum band he's in has a few different types of drums - a bunch of snares, some tenors, and at least one big bass drum like you'd see in a marching band.

The band's going to Scotland & Northern Ireland next month for a bunch of competitions culminating with the world competition in Glasgow in August - the missus and will be in attendance there - wish us luck! His school has won it a few times, but not in a while - I wonder how well it goes over when a bunch of Texans come over there an show how it's done. We'll see :) - I hear the competition (certainly including the locals) is tough this year.
