SSSAAAABBBAAAAATTTTHHHH!

I FUKKIN LOVE BLACK SABBATH!!!

I couldn't listen today because I didn't bring my "cans" (see i'm already catching on using the cool jargon that is indigenous to the recording community, oh how i ingratiate myself. Now im smug!) to work today so I couldn't listen on our oh so sweet broadband.

I'll check it out soon as i can.

Anyway, I'm in the NYC area. You interested in collaboratin?

Hey,

I listened to tidbits of 4 or 5 songs and deduced that you have a pretty nice set up and some solid musical friends.

Overall, the songs sound very solid and consistently well recorded.

My ear was in want of a bit more clarity and presence on the vocal tracks. For the most part, they sounded like a live show through a PA with the crowd already knowing the words.

The synths were a tad hot IMOP..

I grew very fond of your tracking ability. You have your shit straight for sure.

What is your set up? How are you tracking the guitar?

Advanced stuff and a nice diversity and attention to the songs.
My time was well spent!!

Thanks for the songs
Theron.

Just listened to "Death on paper".Not much to flame here.I will say,to my ears the effect on the vocal wears a little thin after awhile.Would have been cool if it came out of that a little bit into the tune, ala"Aqualung",just a thought though.
Sounds like you used real drums? If so,they sounded pretty good. The lead guitar might have had a bit too much reverb, but thats a matter of taste,I suppose.Overall,I like what I hear, and will get back to listen to more at some point!

thanks for the comments guys. I don't use real drums, some of them wre a DM-5, some were a sr-16, and most were a ROLAND TD-10 that i spent a lot of time tweaking. I also played the electric drums with as much of a live feel as possible. As far as the guitar sound goes, I used different things on different songs.
If you want to know what was used on any specific song or part, just ask and i'll tell you exactly what was used and where.

I'm working on taking the marbles out of my mouth when singing.
I'm gonna check out others music and respond, I find it helpful getting unbiased opinions. Thanks!

I dig it!! The nuances were covered above but I just want to say good job. Its heavy, and gets to the point. I especially liked "Splitting Headache". Cool concept.

And by the way....God bless Black Sabbath. My favorite band of all time.

hey Dave,

thanks for taking the time to check out my tunes.
I'm listening to your tunes right now. "More" is playing and
this is some SERIOUS guitar. Great melody.

That's some "TASTY" guitar! (as I'm hit with the lead)
I'm sure someone like you can see right through my guitar,
but your playing was a pleasure to listen to. I'm going to listen to all of them when I get a chance, but so far, the first three were excellent.

Maybe different drum sounds on "Freedom" would have made it sound even sicker, they sound a bit electric, but the songs are so cool, that its hardly noticed.

Going back there later!

I figured there's a few BLACK SABBATH fans out there, It's cool seeing the word B. SABBATH. Also, KING'S X, is probably my most listened to music lately. I just got the Doug solo stuff "POUNDHOUND"....if you don't have it, it's like a bonus KING'S X album that's a bit darker. Truly, an instant classic. (for me anyway)

thanks for taking the time.

peace.

hey Mr. Sabbath,

i listened to all of your tunes and i relly like several of them. i liked the dark tunes the best. pretty good cord progressions.

are most of the drums sampled. they were a real turn off for me. especially the snare. also, to me the drums are way to dry. but i like a a room feel to kits.

but i really liked the instruments: synths, guitars and such. the bass felt Okay. i'm listening to The Darkening Skies right now. pretty good. weak drums, IMO. this song reminds me a lot of Dio.

i'm listening to On The End and cool Mono vocal line. fits for me. kit seems a bit better, not quite as sampled sounding.

regards,

hey Sonixx,

thanks for taking the time. Yeah those are electric drums, "On The End" was an ALESIS DM-5 with me playing the pads.I have since picked up a ROLAND TD-10, that sounds much better. I recorded 4 new songs that I haven't put up yet, because I'm listening to the feedback I get on the other tunes.

That song "Darkening Skies" was my buddy singing, he has a MUCH better voice than me. I guess he does sound a bit like DIO.
I'll tell him you said that and he'll get a laugh.
"ON the END" was me doing everything except the bass. My voice needs much help, but I'm workin' on it.

thanks for bothering.

peace.
