FL Studio Lagging

Fl studio is hell bent on lagging every time i add a few things to the mixer track..
i have a decent enough laptop & 15.8gb of ram available.
When i press play the audio is playing a couple of seconds after instead of in sync with the fl studio glider/time stamp thing

Any idea how to fix this? :c Here is my laptop spec

Are you using an audio interface with your computer?, if so, are you using the correct ASIO driver for it?, if you are, have you tried adjusting your sample-rate/buffer settings?
