I am using FL Studio for my beats, here is the situation though, every time I open a new track for a new project in Reaper (using FL Studio), it is preset to a bunch of crap I don't need nor want; (i.e. Brush1, Ride, Jazz snare, Jazz kick etc.) Is there anyway to preset the one's I DO want to use like RD Toms, RD kicks, RD hats, or basically anything inside the "RealDrumKit" of FL Studio? How can I preset this so that when I choose FL Studio and it opens up for me in Reaper, I have everything ready to go?

You could create a track template.

Set up your tracks the way you want them, then select them (ctrl + click or shift + click.) Right-click -> Save selected tracks as template.

Now whenever you want to use your FL drums, you can use that template. Everything will be saved including routing, FX , etc.. Just right-click the TCP and choose "Insert track from template" or go to Insert on the menu. ;)

Awesome okay that sounds simple enough..

So I use (ctrl + click or shift + click.)?? What is click?

Alright, that was easy enough..

Next problem.. I can't seem to record. Here is what happens

I insert a new track (FL Studio) with the beat I want to use.

Then I insert a new track and arm to record so I can play my guitar over the beat that I'm listening too (FL Studio beat).

Well two things happen here:

After I push record

1) The tempo changes from a normal 120 to 999 or even as low as 8 ??

and

2) After I playback I only hear the guitar, the beats are not there

Also I have been playing around with it (all day today), and you can not arm and record the beats on the FL Studio track itself - they're blank.

The meter you can read with the beats, but the moment you are the FL Studio track, the meter does not read the beats any longer?

So how in the hell do I

a. get the tempo to stay the same
b. actually record the beats

Okay I got this thing to finally work for me. But it seems like to many steps, but damn it took me all day to figure this out.. If there is an easier way, please advise.. Here are my notes I took after hours of trial and error to get it right today.

1) Open template (or fx and choose FL Studio)
2) Open FLS and change the tempo settings (mine auto start at 999).
3) Make your beat
4) Exit FL to Reaper
5) On the track click "in"
6) Click record out:
7) Click record output: Stereo (latency compensated)
8) arm track
9) Push record/pause
10) push stop/play inside FLS (the tempo will be off again) this resets it
11) Push record inside of Reaper - Record Your Beat
12) Stop recording: and to hear your recording, you MUST exit FLS from your fx plugins
13) Play and enjoy

Sheesh that took some time to figure this all out, does anyone know of an easier way? This way works perfect, but there is just so much to it. Maybe after I've done it a few times it will become like second nature.
