Fixing a bad (Recording)

Hello everyone,

I recently recorded a live acoustic gig with logic- and The recording didnt turn out to well. I was wondering if there was any way to remove the buzzing noise from the recording. the way we had it set up was the speaker was behind the microphones, and i had the main output of the mixer going to my line 6 box. it was clipping a lot during the recording. I think the microphones were picking up the output from the speakers, thus making the recording peak. what plug ins are good for cleaning up audio?

I'm not sure what you can do about the clipping, but you might be able to mitigate the buzzing by doing an EQ sweep to find where on the spectrum the buzz is, and then cutting it.

I agree...I don't know of any plug ins that'll take care of clipping. I think once it's tracked, that's it.

Using a "Clipped Peak Restoration" plugin (for example Sonic Foundry) may help, but it may not completely fix it.
