did you do the whole thing yourself or have others sing too? good song but if ya can i would add a little reverb to the vocals and if your singing 3 part harmony, try to pan 1 voc a lil left, one a lil right and the other in the middle. i don't know if thats standard operating procedure cause i'm very new at this but i seem to have more fun mixing and tweaking than playing. check out some of my stuff

the guitar playing was suburb

Thanks for the reply Charva. Yes everything you hear is me. I agree about the panning. This was recorded about six months ago when I was a little less knowledgeable than now or I would have at least panned the back up vocals a little differently.

Man, for a cassette recorder, it's amazing!
Great guitar. What did you record it with?

It's a great example of a simple and effective arrangment.

Hi Aren,

It was recorded on a Tascam 424 MKIII with Maxell Type II tape. I used my old acoustic guitar. (Copy of a Gipson Hummingbird). I used two Radio Shack cassette condenser mikes.
No reverb or other effects. I used a Radio Shack Dual Cassette Deck for the mixdown and then through a Radio Shack Mixer into the Soundcard using Musicmatch Jukebox. The Soundcard is an ESS Solo.

I suggest you skip the cassete deck. there is no need to use it, if you are eventually transfering the song to the computer. It's another quality degrade.
Mixdown straight into the computer, and you will lose alot of hiss, granted!

BTW - Thanks for your feedback on my song. I also like Peter Paul and Mary alot, and actually listened to them a lot during the mx, to see if my mix sounds similar.
