Cool song. The lead guitar riff on the left side at about 1:14 kind of 'stands apart' (like it was dubbed in after the fact). COuld be because of the tone or the the hard pan.

hi MJB,
thanks for listening.

that guitar riff is mixed to stand out.
so, all of the many parts are dubbed in,
if it's mixed that way, that's the way i wanted to present it.

there is ear candy all over the place, lots of things you hear for the first time, on the 3rd or 4th listen even.

i hate homogenous mixes, so i just mix it the way i enjoy hearing it.

remember the 1st van halen album, where all of the guitar is way over on the right side?!LOL
i had a buddy who had a car in high school, that had a speaker out on the right side...
whoa. what a mind phuck. LOL again.......

I like the wall of guitars sound you've achieved. Although I dont like the style, I think its a fine mix you've done.

How many guitars have you recorded and how have you mixed them if you dont mind telling...haha.

i can get a LOT of different tones out of the one axe..
has become my 'go-to' axe, for sure....

during the first half of the song, at any one time, there are at least two rhythm guitars going,
hard left and right... dirty, and crunchy clean.
but i have two more rhythm tracks that i blend in and out,
plus the two lead guitar tracks.

then, on the 2nd half, it's all neck pickup on the same guitar, for all that soloing.....
with a little of the multiple rhythm parts mixed in during the breakdown.

maybe some epi gibby 12 string at the end, i can't remember..
i'll check it tonight and post for sure.

Your music is really good. I wish I could play in a band that plays your music.
