I am an aspiring musician, but as I am a poor student I can not afford to buy more than one microphone which preferably costs around $100-$200. However, I also want to be able to use it to talk to my friends online while listening to music and preferably not having the microphone pick it up. This would be my first external microphone, so I am not quite sure how these work, but so far I have looked at the Blue Yeti and the Samson Meteor Mic. Are any of these good, or do you have any other recommendations? Is it even possible to have an external mic that consistently picks up my voice but not my music?
