This is my first song, I can't really tweak anything....already erased the original.:o
Nothing special, just messing around till I start a band. I recorded everything with a keyboard, drum kit and one mic. Soon I hope to mic my whole kit....hope.

it's got a cool 60's detective vibe about it...no point in talking about the mix, you cant change it...why would you erase anything?

I switched between Studio One, and Studio One Pro...and things got a little messy.
I'll post some new songs as soon as I can, then you can tell me how bad the mix is.;)
 
I keep waiting for the fembots to come around the corner and shoot me with their boob guns. :D

Erased the original? Well, it's good to leave no tracks. I like the drumming, but the sound sucks - it's a tiny little drumkit and the guitars (especially the second one) are all verby and big. Discrepancy. The song's good too, so you should do it again and this time remember to save the tracks.

You say you did everything on a keyboard and drumkit. Sounds like guitars to me, though.

how you finding it? I used the demo quite a bit..I thought the mixer let it down...apart from that great DAW

I agree with everything. The reason the drums sound like that, is I only had one mic and I only tracked them once. Yes, it is just a keyboard. I used Ampire for guitar effects.....I'm glad it sounds like a guitar, that's what I was going for.

I can't really say yet, too new to it all. I'm lucky to get one song recorded. It only cost me $50, so I can't complain....yet.

being able to master and update your project at the same time without opening another programme is genius...

if I update my audio interface Im definitely going to give presonus a consideration...$50 is amazing for what it is..nice plugins in it as well :)
 
The dive bombs on the "guitar" are sometimes good sometimes not so good :eek::eek:. Sounds like a bigsby actually.... They get better as the song progresses and you "tighten them up". You've done a great job making a keyboard sound like a guitar. The opposite is not as easy...lol... Mix is great!
Reminds me of the old secret agent stuff...

If I ever rerecord it, I'll try and tighten it all up.
 
Hey, yeah I could feel that detective vibe too. That keyboard really does sound like a guitar!
