First song of my new project

Hello everybody,

I'm new here in this forum and I'd like to introduce to you a sample of my new project. As I'm in the middle of the preparations for my exams I do a little recording and mixing from time to time as distraction for getting my head free again. This is the first song of my project and I hope some more will follow. It's kind of an experiment. The singer is my girl friend and it was the first time for her to record vocals in a studio. Had to persuade her a little... :).

I know, it's just "ordinary" melodic metal and I intentionally kept it simple. That's because in the past I had some progressive projects and now I wanted to write something a little bit more... catchy.

Really good work man! I like how you fit your girl's voice in the mix and the guitar work behind her voice during the chorus. Good stuff. What are you tracking with?
 
Thank you :). I mainly work with Logic 8, a Mac Pro Quad and a Metric Halo Mobile 2882 firewire interface. I've got a new studio homepage. Have a look at it: www.ba-audiolabs.com There's an older Version of the Song "Silent Tear" on it... please ignore that:o
