I wanted to dive right in and post a song I recorded, but realized that I have to post 10 times first. This is #1. 58YO and haven't recorded in a while. I'm glad to be here and to see what people are up to these days. See you all soon (in the forums).

That is ok, 10 posts come in no time :) You can talk to me to speed it up lol. So how long have you been recording?

I've just started back up. I sold my old Tascam Porta2 Ministudio not too long ago and got a Boss BR-600 (I think) to get started up again with. I actually haven't recorded for about 20 years or so. Thankfully, I am fairly computer literate (as well as just plain literate) and I think I will do OK. Still, just a little anxious getting my multifunctioning chops together.

Welcome Daddio307! We'll help you get those 10 out of the way! I look forward to hearing what you have to post. I'm still too bashful to post anything I've done so far since getting started back into recording.

I worked in a pro analog studio back in the early 90s and learning computer based recording, which you'd think would be easier, is proving to take some time for this old analog guy!

The things I am hoping to post first are all home studio demos from 20 to 30 years ago ( and for those younger people out there - that wasn't really that long ago!) My Tascam to record with, a Midiverb, a Rockman,an old Yamaha RX-5 drum machine, and a Casio CZ-101. Everything - Guitar, bass, drum machine, vocals - were all just me. While the quality of the demos aren't that great, I am rather proud of a couple of the songs themselves (self-penned, of course). I hope when they go up you all will give a listen.

Welcome sir. There was a time when I was tracking with a 238 and a Rockman. In a galaxy far, far away in a time long, long ago.

Welcome to the forum! Good to know you're keeping your hand in.

Thanks. It's great to know that there are things out there like this to be a part of.

Yep! And for every problem you'll find at least seven solutions. ;)

and for every seven solutions, each will have another seven problems.

Now that's the type of endless cycle of chaos that I've grown to love and depend on!

Just found the 10 post thread, so hopefully I'll post a couple of songs soon.
