Nice song. I've never recorded piano either, so I'm just going to tell you what I hear. It sounds like the piano is down the hall from the other instruments. I'm guessing you used one mic. You might try two or three (a couple over the felt hammers and one room mic) and I'll bet the sound will have a lot more fullness and presence. There's a few threads around here about recording piano. Maybe someone with some chops for piano recording will chime in.
