Last night I ordered the Edirol FA101 from Digital Village UK.

This morning I cancelled that and ordered a Firepod from them instead.
I bought my Falcon/Cubase Audio from them years ago (still got it)

Can't see better VFM and 8 mic pre amps.
10ch recording with my old DAT working as 2 more lines in.

I note that the Firepod needs an ext PSU but on further inspection that can be 12V-24V DC or 12VAC.
Recording in 'the field' not a problem as long as there's a car battery nearby.
More juice than a laptop battery. ;)

Just have to go and check the PSU requirements for the Maxtor One Touch II 250GB ext HDD.
If its mains only I'll have to get an inverter

The plan has now gone from one laptop case with some recording bits in it to a soft 19" case for the Firepod and HDD.
Oh and a 1GB upgrade for the laptop. :D

All I gotta do now is pay for it.

See what you guys made me do? :p
