Firebox Weak Mic Signal

I just tried to do some test recording with the Presonus Firebox using Guitar Tracks Pro3. Everything is set as it should be. The sampling rate and bit depth match between the Firebox mixer and the software. 48V boost is turned on on the Firebox. All levels are ok. I have a CAD m177 Condenser mix plugged into the XLR 1 of the Firebox.

But the recorded signal is weak and faint.

Previously, I tested on Guitar Tracks Pro2 WDM drivers and it worked fine. In GTP3 (ASIO ready) I used ASIO drivers, and the sound was weak. I don't blame the drivers though.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Well I have a clearer signal coming in now. Only thing I changed was the xlr cable from a brand new on, to my old one. But still the faders in my software are not hitting around the 0db mark...they are hovering around -30db...which i don't want really.

No, I hadn't been doing that. I didn't know that my microphone needed that. I contacted Presonus and they looked at my mic specs and told me I needed that boost to bring the mic up to 'unity'. All is good now, thanks!
