So I had a 900 half stack for a short time that I sold for my BluesJunior. I never have to do any work on either. I was playing today with my drummer and we left for a while, when we came back I turned on my BJ and all I could hear is a roaring fire sound. When I turned my guitar volume ALL the way up I could get a little sound, not much. Did I blow the tubes or is this something that happens from cranking an amp to 10 too much?
 
If you do a lot of overdriving, you might try checking the preamp tubes...hell check em all. It's weird that it was working fine one minute, turn it off?? Then not working when you turn it back on? or did you leave it on? Maybe something in the power supply circuitry.

ps...just re-read your post. It still could be in the PS circuitry. First order of the day would be to check the tubz.
 
Well, I turned it on at the beginning of practice, and it seemed to work fine. But my neighbor let me barrow his GT3 pedal so I was messing with it. I couldn't seem to get anything to sound right so I unplugged it and went straight in, and it sounded alright, but I couldn't get my sound as normal. I keep my eqs fairly close to 6 (outta 12), I usually have the volume/gain at 7-12, and the master cranked to 12 all the time (damn heavy drummers). My guitar it at 3-4.

How do I check the tubes. They are all still lit up.
 
You'll have to find a repair shop that has a tube tester. Veeerrrryyy hard to find now days. I just saw one the other day and it's the first one I've seen in a long time. If they are lit, that sorta shoots my PS theory, possibly. If they are not lit as brightly as they normally are could indicate a low voltage which could explain why you can actually get "some" sound. Call around radio and tv repair shops and find a tube tester.
