finding mics

where can i go to test some mics in miami? i want a good variety of brands to chose from.
my dad lives in washington d.c, name some places where he can test some mics.
name and street address please.

google and a phone book will likely yield more results. most music stores that sell mics will let you test them out before you buy. most will require you to use a pop filter, for "health department" reasons, but if you're dropping some change, they tend to be fairly accomodating.
 
ive heard very good things about MAE in davey but ive never been up there. but ive heard thats the spot. sam ash off the palmetto might help you out. or guitar center by dadeland and there's another one on hallendale blvd right off 95. other than that most of the other stores wont have a very good selection anyway, unfortunately.

I really want to compare the D112 to the ATM25 so I might order both from mf and keep the one I like. has anybody else tried this?
