Has anyone had much luck in finding rigid fiberglass or rockwool locally? I've checked every Lowes/Home Depot in the area and haven't found anything that would quite do the job. I did come across a local company that does some bigger acoustic engineering work for places like airports and schools and they have some leftover acoustic paneling that they will sell me if the price is right.

Does anybody have ideas of where to look locally for DIY acoustic paneling materials?

Er, I just noticed the sticky in this forum. Sorry to beat the dead horse guys.

no prob. Look for local companies that supply metal framing, ceilings, etc to commercial contractors. None of the home centers will have what you need.

I lucked out with a place called Acousti Engineering here in Tallahassee, FL. They had a bunch of panels left over from old jobs that they sold to me for relatively cheap. I'll be posting in a few on how to use what I got from them.
