Finally Got One I Am Relatrively Happy With

Best mix you've done so far, but I think I've mentioned before that the vox could use some verb...and on this song, maybe some doubling on the vocals, or some added back up in places would really fill the song out...now, this is just my opinion also, but I wanted the vocal to come in at :20 instead of a few beats later..structurally,it threw me off a bit cause I thought that 's where it should have been...but if you meant it to make an expected turn, ya did...and that would be your privilege as the writer/performer...also there's a hell of a string squawk at :32, which you may not have noticed.....yer sound gets better each time...the volume levels were more controlled too...I liked the bass notes on the left channel appearing when they did...nice work...gibs
 
Was it the left channel? GURK! I have my speakers set up backwards!

I agree- actually you emailed me about sticking a song or two on one of my stations. This new one, I'll find a place for.

I can tell you got a good ear for relative balances between instruments. That is difficult, especially when you are submixing a bunch of stuff onto a mono track.

The Vocal may be a wee hot, I'd take it down a bit, but that is just me.
 
Yup, you're getting the hang of the balances. I thought the "normal" bass line could come up a little (was that occasional little run dubbed?). I think EQ is the next tool to focus on. You can do a lot of stuff to the tone with a good versatile EQ. If you do end up going the computer route you'll be in luck there.

Anyway, good job... keep at it.
