Rock Steady
folks, i got PA9 and Sonar a few weeks ago. It`s been over 15 yrs since I did any serious recording. And have never, used a pc and software to try anything serious myself. Tonite I finished putting six 7 to 9 minute tunes on cd after taking them down to stereo wav from Sonar, cleaning and buffing 'em up in Sound Forge, used Lame to encode to mp3. The next ones to float in should be easier to nail down on disk now.
Its been a steep learning curve, yet seems to have flattened immensely.
Of course my stuff is nowhere near, the league of a mastered mix that many of you are probably accustomed to with the high end equipment a lot of yall have. My teenage kids, the wife, and a guitar picking buddy deemed them acceptable. And I dont have to tote them around for yrs in my head anymore.

Word is..., Thank you to all you folks that put up with my constant questions, to which I always got solid experienced professional answers to. I sincerely hope over time I can share back of what I`ve gathered here.

I`ll find a place to post a clip or two for a listen. I need a lil reflection so I know where I am on the map.

Lets hear 'em:cool:

I didnt paste this in mp3 forum cause I aint tryin to market anything. Im on 56k so its a short clip of one of the tunes on the site. I had to re-upload it cause it had lil skips in it from something. It plays ok here and the long version is ok on cd. musta been the first ftp upload was bad. Anyways, tell me if I`m left, right or centered in gettin it done correctly, please.

I forgot about the mp3 clinic. Ya don`t have to be marketing to lay somethin up jus for a listen there. sorry if the thread looked like spam. I just was fishing for some coaching feedback.
