This song needs a better snare sound. Something higher pitched with more ring, and less strainer.

I think the bass could have a bit more punch too.

The vocals are cool, but considering the subject matter of the tune should be more up front. I don't just mean volume. Maybe a better way to put it is more in-your-face.

Or maybe just turn down the guitar a bit.

:D

Yeah I remember the hotter gtrs in this, and the vocals were a little blurry. If it were mine, it be in the "done pile" for sure. Sounds damn great to me, that intro fade on the right guitar was spot on! Damn i had an original sansamp at one time..may have to get another one, i like that tone. What single mic did you use on the cymbals? They sound incredible! Damn nice recording, very easy on the ears..great song
ADK A 51 on cymbals.

Thanks, yeah I like the guitar intro. I think one track of guitar on this is miced and one is direct. I almost always try to get two distinct guitar sounds.

Cool tune!
I think the vocals could be a little crisper, more like the rest of the tracks. Nice crunchy sound.

Ramones fan?
I wouldnt say fan...I've listened, I like. I don't own any albums though.

I've reahed a stopping point on this. Some things could be better and thanks for the criticism everyone.

I will come back to this to nail the vocal sound someday in the future....it's too early, I'm maxed out on this.

I'm really happy with the instrument sounds now. I chose that snare to be my regular kit sound, I really dig it. I feel the music and mix are really close to what I want. I will resing the vocal when I can handle to hear the song all the way through again.
I agree the vocal needs to be more vital and in your face.

High Quality Mix Jake.Nice doubling of the vocals......drums and guitars sound great.....this is one tight mix...good to see you out of the cave doing something constructive with your time.:D

Sorry to catch this after it hit the "done pile", so I'll just say good work. Your tunes have a very unique way of coming accross as slick and rough at the same time. I like it!
