Fiberboard who makes it?

Can anyone tell me where I can get fiberboard for sound countrol? I know Owens Corning makes a 1" Select Sound board, but not sure if that will work as well as a fiberboard.

If anyone knows of a product and where it is sold I would be greatful.

What is the application? Are you looking for sound proofing or sound treatment? On the wall or inside the wall?

Owens Corning Rigid Fiberglass 703 and 705 are common treatment products and are pretty reasonable.
 
Celotex makes a 1/2" board called SoundStop.....You can get it in @ Holmes Drywall Supply in KC, MO...They are at-

They also have pretty good prices on mineral wool and 703

Yes, I am putting one together. I was going to suggest Holmes Drywall.
 
Location

The closest city to me would be Springfield. That would be about an hour from me. I live near Lake of the Ozarks.

I found a distributor for the 703 in Springfield, Bolivar Insulation. I am waiting for pricing from them. I guess not too many places carry this board. It is usually for commercial use.

Using the 703, about what percentage of wall coverage is common in a live/recording room? I realize that the room shape and size have the most to do with this answer. I have read that about 40-50% coverage usually is common.
