Well the Drawmer 1968 is a favorite of mine [but I really am quite biased in that direction]... and the Purple Audio MC-77 is another serious favorite [never mind the plug in, it ain't the real thing baby]... I have found the MC-77 to be far superior to the current 1176LN release from Universal Audio [who have not quite taken the same degree of effort and energy to deal with the input attenuator issue].

That about does it for FET compressors that I can think of... though there is a very interesting FET based peak limiter section in the Pendulum Audio Quartet II.

Ah.. the daddy!!
The Pendulum looks rather enticing, even though its only a section of the box. I think I'd rather stay away from a 'channel strip'.

In either case, don't think the funds are there.. maybe in a few years I'll be looking at the daddy for sure.

on another note- prolly no where close to your recomendations or FET in general, any opinions on the Drawmer ds421?

Thanks Fletcher.
