Harmony-Central NAMM Review of the Cyber Twin
http://namm.harmony-central.com/WNAMM01/Content/Fender/PR/Cyber-Twin.html

Fender is proclaiming it as the "Holy Grail" of guitar amlpifiers.
I love Fender amps but..................this reminds me of FT.

Ok, can we please keep this a "Fender" thread without dragging FT into it!?! Come on, if this amp can really do what Fender says it can then it is the "Holy (freaking) Grail" of guitar amplifiers! The Stereo Digital Line Output is gonna be really sweet for direct recording. Greg Koch seems to really like it and he know's his amps! Though I wonder how much blood and/or old gear I'll have to sell before I can afford one!?! (Damn) :(

I am a die hard real tube kinda guy,and I play through old Fender tweed amps..............so I approached the Cyber-Twin with the same scepticism as I did all these "modeling" amps. This thing is different! Two of my coworkers went to the NAMM show in California, and videoed Greg Koch playing through it at the Fender booth.Of course,it helps to have a smoker like Greg demoing this amp,but the tones were luscious! It won't be the same as cranking an authentic AC30 or 4-10 Bassman, but you would hard pressed to find anything closer....plus,you can use an ordinary volume pedal and assign it to be a wah,or an expression pedal for the many effects built in.

So how much are they asking for this thing? I'll bet it's more than the other modelers, maybe even than the custom shop amps. And I bet even the Fender guys will tell you that it's not a Dual Pro. I have a friend who actually has one of those monsters, and THAT is the holy grail of all amplifiers.
