This is a feeler...I'm really wanting to go with a very small 8-10 watt single channel tube amp setup for the guitar, but to do that I'll need to sell my very beautiful (in looks and tone) Traynor YCV50 blue. I've owned it for 20 months...and it's a phenomenal, phenomenal guitar amp. The price on these (probably due in some part to the fall of the dollar as well) has gone WAY up over the past two years...retail is now about $700 on these (a few ebay sellers have them for about $630 after shipping).
Anyway - mine is in great condition and perfect functionally. The Celestion V30 speaker is wonderful...fully broken in and sounding like a million bucks.
Please go to Harmony central and read the reviews...this amplifier is the bees knees, but be advised...it can be a very LOUD amplifier. Great tone and everyone (I mean every single guitar player) who has played this in my studio has gushed on the clean channel of this amp....and the lead channel is so freakin' smooth when it's dialed in right.
Anyway, I'm not sure I want to do this, but I do need to make a decision - so if someone is willing to pay $550 plus shipping (about $160 less than Musician's Friend price for a new one) - I'll let her go for now. If noone bites - I'll probably be happier, but I know deep inside that I want to go for a quieter, more "intimate" guitar setup all around.
Let me know if you'd like pictures or more information. Oh - the price is for the amp with stock tubes (which sound great, btw). I also have a pair of Ruby EL-34's and some upgrade preamp tube sets that I would be willing to include; however, the price will need to go up for those.
