bollocks redux!
Possibly For Sale:
A Royer Modded MXL V67M upgraded with a Peluso CEK-89 Capsule. I just bought this a few weeks back from Doug Joyce and am only selling it because a.) I have another Royer modded mic on the way and b.) I'm trying to make one last gear purchase pre-wedding and to pay for some wedding costs. Here's a paraphrased version of Doug's fine description of this mic:

A hand built/point-to-point wired tube Mic based on the following article.:

http://www.prosoundweb.com/recording...mic_25_1.shtml

This mic started life as a Marshall V67 shell with the black body and grille (the "Mogami" edition) This mic has a Jensen transformer and Peluso CEK-89 capsule. The tube is a Phillips ECG 3416. This mic has a very smooth "buttery" kind of quality. Not smeared at all and very detailed. If I were going to mic a vocalist with an aggressive midrange, I'd grab this one to add a little touch of dicipline.

This mic comes with an external PSU, 5 pin PSU>mic cable, and shock mount. I found a couple of big plastic pistol road cases at a gun store and
they hold the mics, mounts, cable and PSU snugly and securely.

Will sell for $500 shipped to the US and paypal'ed -- half the price of a Mojave MA-200 (and this may arguably have a better capsule).
Thanks!
